Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I found CrossFit 10 years ago because I was in the worst shape of my life. I had always been in shape since I played sports through high school and college. I was struggling to find something that I enjoyed and allowed me to stay in shape. It wasn’t working for me to just go into a globo-gym 3-4 times a week so I needed something different and stumbled upon CrossFit.

Why did you become a trainer?

Since it worked for me, I wanted to spread the word and there was no better way to do that than to become a trainer.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

After I tried CrossFit for the first time, I realized I wasn’t as strong and in shape as I thought I was. I decided it was time for a change.

Why did you become a trainer?

There is just something about helping people that really fulfills me. I love coaching an athlete, making a quick correction and seeing the look on their face click as the movement makes more sense and becomes easier to do.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

Throughout all the sports I did growing up, none of them had any sort of lifting as an element.  At 6’2″ I was tall, thin and lanky.  I wanted to get bigger, faster and stronger.  After being introduced to CrossFit, I saw very quickly that the variations of workouts and movements CrossFit had to offer would allow me to do just that.  I am now the biggest, fastest and strongest I have ever been.

Why did you become a trainer?

I love how CrossFit changed my life.  I want to help others accomplish what I have accomplished through this lifestyle.  It really is for anyone and everyone.  There is no community out there quite like it.  Come get better with us.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I’ve always been very active. I was a cheerleader for 11 years and during those years I also played a variety of other sports. After having twin boys, my weight dropped to under 100lbs. I was sick of being “skinny” and feeling weak. So I found my journey to get stronger, now weighing in at 150lbs.

Why did you become a trainer?

Before I became a trainer, I only worked as a hair/makeup artist, making people feel good about their outside appearance. It’s always been a passion of mine to make a positive difference in ones life, however becoming a trainer makes a bigger difference in ones life than just their outside appearance. This means being able to help make people feel good, look good, and reach potentials of their health most people did not think were possible. I could go on and on about all the reasons I decided to become a trainer, however the basis of it is there’s nothing but positivity in being a trainer.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Squats, all squats! I do not discriminate!

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I didn’t start getting into fitness until my late 20s. I did the usual 5K, 10K, half marathon stuff. Then I upped the ante, got a personal trainer and did a few Tough Mudders. I learned about CrossFit from an acquaintance. I was confused by the idea of doing pull ups with a band (what the heck was that all about) and my curiosity got the best of me. And here I am 4+ years later and still loving it. For me, fitness isn’t about a number on a scale it is about seeing your body do something it couldn’t do six months ago.

Why did you become a trainer?

Several things made me what to be a trainer. (1) I love learning and teaching other people. (2) I like helping people gain confidence in their abilities and pushing them to be a better version of themselves (i.e., goals = PRs!).

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Box jumps and Oly lifting.

What is your favorite cheat food?

I believe everything in moderation, but veggie chips are my weakness.

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Batman, because my name is Robin.

Why did you get into fitness (and CrossFit)?

I was an athlete in high school and stayed active throughout college and beyond.  However, as I started my family, my lifestyle and my body changed and staying active became more difficult.  I had a very hard pregnancy and birth with my second child and gained a significant amount of weight.  I was able to lose some weight on my own, but quickly put half of it back on.  I needed a change and was considering joining my local rec center.  At the time, stories about Crossfit kept coming across my radar so I figured it was something I needed to check out.  I scheduled my free intro class and I was hooked!

Why did you become a trainer?

I feel like CrossFit has given me my life back and I want to share that with others.  I want to help others get started on their journey to fitness and show them that anything is possible if they just show up and work hard.  I love cheering on our athletes and celebrating their achievements with them.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Anything with a barbell.  But if I had to pick just one, I’d say clean and jerk.

What is your favorite cheat food?

What’s your favorite Superhero and why?

Wonder Woman, duh! She is a strong warrior, but she’s not afraid to show her emotions.
